WIRE ROPE LUBE
PENETRATES, LUBRICATES & PROTECTS
Featuring a heavy fluid formula that effortlessly penetrates the core of wire ropes, this lubricant provides reliable internal protection and lubrication. Additionally, it forms a protective and lubricating film on the outer strands, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of wire ropes and therefore reduces maintenance costs over time.

Content
Natural lanolin grease is combined with an evaporative carrier. This carrier fluid dissolves the lanolin grease to facilitate smooth application and deep penetration. The evaporative carrier is designed to evaporate within approximately one hour at ambient temperature, resulting in the deposition of a thin microfilm (natural wax) of lanolin.

Usage illustration
- Marine and Offshore Defence: Exhibiting unparalleled resistance to moisture, salt, and acids, it provides lubrication and effectively counters corrosion under the most severe corrosive conditions.
- Deep Penetration Capability: Infiltrates crevices to robustly defend the core structure, ideal for wire ropes, steel chains, and roller chains, ensuring prolonged corrosion protection and lubrication.
- Viscous Lubricant: Optimally suited for heavy machinery as well as marine and offshore applications, offering a dual-function solution that combines a corrosion inhibitor and an industrial lubricant in a single product.

Product Properties
- Ingredient: Naphtha (Solvent, as an evaporative carrier) and Lanolin
- Physical Form: Liquid, Brown
- Solubility in water: Insoluble
- Flash Point: >95°C
- Auto-Ignition: > 350°C
-
Usage Guidelines
- Corrosion Inhibitor: Wire Rope Lube can be sprayed onto corroded surfaces to halt further corrosion.
- Optimal Application Conditions: Achieves best results when applied to surfaces that are clean and dry.
- Compatibility with Oil: Soluble in oil, allowing for application on parts with light oil lubrication without the need for removal.
- Safety Precautions: Prior to the carrier’s evaporation (about one hour), remove any sources of ignition, voltage, and flame.
- Preparation for Use: Requires vigorous agitation before use, achieved by shaking the container or stirring with a stick or pole, to ensure a uniform lanolin mixture.
- Climate Consideration: Extra agitation may be necessary in colder climates to maintain mixture consistency.
- Multiple Application Methods: Can be applied using a spray, brush, roller, or lamb wool applicator.
- Drying Time: Allow for approximately an hour of drying time before exposure to water.
